Ongoing Monthly Program
Join Wedel's experts for learning opportunities, crafts, events to expand on curiosity and help grow the next generation of gardeners! Open to kids Pre-K through 8th grade, this program will help kids build a community as they learn about gardening, bird watching, nature, and so much more! For only $25 yearly membership fee, you get: Growing Gardeners T-shirt ($15 value), Petting Zoo entrance free ($6.50 value), your membership card & sticker, a discount on your craft projects, a spot at all these kid’s events as well as all the learning information and craft instruction. If you attend 6 or more of the 12 events offered, you will get your Growing Gardener Kit: pair of gloves, heavy duty trowel & kneeling pad ($15 value).
Arbor Day Celebration
April, 27th at 11a
Sat. 4/27/24: Arbor Day with CGIP Gary Miller at 11a. Learn about identifying trees in your backyard and neighborhood with Wedel’s Certified Green Industry Professionals, Andrew Wedel and Gary Miller. We’ll go on a walk in Wedel’s tree nursery then we’ll plant a tree together. Take home an evergreen seedling to plant!
Garden Tea Party
June, 8th
We will provide tea for sipping and sweets for nibbling. Garden party attire is encouraged but not required, although there will be a special treat for those who do dress for the occasion. Crafts will be available to partake in for a small fee. This event is wonderful for folks of all ages!
Pollinator Event
June 21st & 22nd
Make a butterfly/bee themed craft for a small fee. Stop into our butterfly tent and learn about these important friends in our ecosystem and the role they play!
